This summer vacation, I had a lot of fun and also learned many new things. One of the most exciting activities was visiting my grandparents in the countryside. The air there was fresh, and the scenery was beautiful. Every morning, I would go for a walk with my grandfather, enjoying the peaceful environment.
During my stay, I helped my grandmother cook meals. She taught me how to make dumplings, which was something I had never tried before. It was a bit challenging at first, but with her guidance, I managed to make some decent ones. We enjoyed eating them together, and it made me feel proud of myself.
Besides cooking, I spent time reading books and practicing English writing. I found an interesting book about adventures, and it inspired me to write my own short story. Writing in English is still a little difficult for me, but I am determined to improve. My goal is to write a longer story by the end of the holiday.
I also went swimming with my friends. It was a great way to cool off during the hot days. We laughed and played games in the water, creating wonderful memories. Swimming not only kept us healthy but also strengthened our friendship.
Overall, this summer vacation has been both relaxing and educational. I have learned valuable skills and gained new experiences. I hope next year’s vacation will be just as enjoyable.
