教学过程:
Step 1 Warming-up (5 minutes)
- Greeting students and checking attendance.
- Sing an English song related to family members or home furniture to warm up the class atmosphere.
Step 2 Presentation (15 minutes)
- Show pictures of different furniture items one by one, such as bed, table, chair, sofa etc., and teach these new words with actions and gestures.
- Use real objects if possible for better understanding.
- Practice reading aloud together after introducing each word.
Step 3 Drill (10 minutes)
- Ask questions like "Where is the book?" Encourage students to answer using prepositions correctly.
- Play a game called "Find It". Hide some small toys around the classroom and let students find them while saying their locations out loud.
Step 4 Production (10 minutes)
- Divide students into groups of four or five people.
- Each group has to create a short dialogue about finding something inside a room using the target language learned today.
- After preparation time, invite several groups to perform their dialogues in front of everyone else.
Step 5 Summary & Homework (5 minutes)
- Review what we've learned today briefly.
- Assign homework: Draw a picture of your own bedroom at home and label all the furniture pieces with appropriate English names.
