One sunny morning, a little boy named Tim woke up and decided to play a trick on his dad. He had heard that his father was afraid of spiders, so he thought it would be funny to put a toy spider in his dad’s shoe.

Tim carefully placed the spider inside the shoe and then went to the kitchen to make breakfast. His dad came out of the bathroom, got his shoes, and sat down to put them on.

As he reached for his left shoe, he suddenly screamed, “What is this?!” He pulled out the spider and looked around in panic. “Who did this?!”

Tim, who was hiding behind the door, couldn’t help but laugh. He ran out and said, “It’s just a toy! I wanted to see if you were still scared of spiders.”

His dad sighed and said, “You’re going to be the death of me, Tim.”
