【初中英语全英说课稿子】Good morning, everyone. Today, I am honored to have the opportunity to present my lesson plan on the topic of “How to Make a Good Presentation.” This is a speaking and listening lesson designed for junior high school students, specifically in Grade 8.
First, let me introduce the teaching content. The main goal of this lesson is to help students understand the key elements of a good presentation and practice delivering their own short speeches in English. Through this lesson, students will not only improve their speaking skills but also develop their confidence in public speaking.
Now, let me explain the teaching objectives. In terms of knowledge objectives, students should be able to learn and use some important vocabulary related to presentations, such as “introduction,” “main points,” “conclusion,” and “body language.” In terms of ability objectives, students will be able to organize their ideas logically and deliver a clear and coherent speech. As for emotional objectives, I hope to encourage students to be more confident and open-minded when speaking in front of others.
Next, I will talk about the teaching methods. I will mainly use the task-based language teaching approach, which focuses on meaningful communication. I will also incorporate group work and role-play activities to make the class more interactive and engaging. Additionally, I will use visual aids, such as slides and pictures, to support students’ understanding of the topic.
The teaching process consists of four main parts: warming up, presenting new content, practicing, and summarizing. In the warming-up stage, I will ask students questions like “Have you ever given a speech before?” or “What do you think makes a good speaker?” to activate their prior knowledge and spark their interest. Then, I will introduce the key vocabulary and structure of a presentation through a short video or a sample speech.
In the practice stage, students will work in pairs to prepare and deliver their own mini-presentations on a topic of their choice. After that, they will give feedback to each other using a simple evaluation sheet. Finally, I will summarize the key points of the lesson and assign homework, such as writing a short reflection on what they learned.
I believe that this lesson will not only help students improve their English speaking skills but also build their self-confidence and communication abilities. I am looking forward to seeing how they apply what they have learned in future classes.
Thank you for your attention. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
