This year, I decided to spend my summer vacation at my grandparents’ house in the countryside. It was very different from my usual life in the city. There were no traffic jams, no noise, and no rush. Everything was quiet and peaceful. I woke up early every morning, helped my grandma with her gardening, and sometimes went fishing with my grandpa. Those moments made me feel very close to nature.

In the afternoons, I often played with my cousins or read books in the shade of a big tree. Sometimes, we would go swimming in a nearby lake. The water was cool and refreshing, and it felt like the best way to escape the heat of the day.

One of the most exciting parts of my vacation was when my family took a trip to the beach. We stayed there for three days. I built sandcastles, collected seashells, and even tried surfing for the first time. Although I fell down a few times, I didn’t give up. I kept trying, and finally, I could ride the waves!

At night, we would sit around a fire and tell stories. My uncle told me some interesting tales about his childhood, and my aunt cooked delicious food. It was a perfect way to end each day.

Although my summer vacation was short, it was full of happiness and memories. I learned how to be more patient, how to enjoy simple things, and how much I miss the peace of the countryside. I hope I can go back again next summer.
